DWAYNE DANIEL “SAM” SEKULICH (1963-2026)

June 7, 1963 – August 11, 2026

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Dwayne Daniel Sekulich, known to most as “Sam,” of Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 63.

Sam lived life to the fullest and was always ready to visit. Known for his hospitality, he would stop and have a cold one with just about anyone, any time of day. His dogs, Sheba and Jake, were his children and constant companions. He loved Harleys, cars, and spending time on his golf cart shooting gophers. Sam was happiest in good company and leaves behind countless friends and many good memories.

Sam was predeceased by his parents, Stan and Joan Sekulich; his infant sister, Wendy; his brother-in-law, Greg Dand; and his great-niece, Rose.

He is survived by his siblings: Debbie Dand; Darin (Glenda) Sekulich; Dawn (Wade) Whitell; and Devin (Natalie) Sekulich.

Sam will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Erin (David) Hoekstra; Cara (Jason) Knight; Jill Dand; Casey (Tayrell) Dand; Janelle Hjelsing; Cory (Sarah) Hjelsing; Shyanne Bruce; Ashley (Matthew) Djkowich; Mitchell Sekulich; and Ridge and Jensen Kopp, as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

His family will forever treasure the memories, stories, and laughter they shared with him. Sam will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saskatoon SPCA

A family graveside service was held prior to a Celebration of Sam’s Life on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Kenaston Place.

Forever loved. Forever remembered.
