It is with heavy hearts we had to say goodbye to Dad, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Great-Great-Grandfather at the age of 89 years old. On. Aug. 3rd Alex passed away peacefully with family by his side.
Left to mourn his passing Alex’s children son Vincent/Joyce, daughter Janet, son Robert, daughter Teresa/Michael. Grandchildren, Kory/Okten, Dawn, Darrell/Rochelle, Sheila, Alexa, Quinton/Mandi, Steven, Amy/Brad, AshLeigh/Dahlen, Daniel, Leanne/Josh, Terri, Scott, Aereonna. Great grandchildren Lily, Sawyer, Jim, Bennet, Travis, Austin, Dameon, Isabella, Rayden, Easton, Eryka/Brock, Emma/Noah, Tia, Trenton, Brynn. Hailee, Madailein, Ryan. Alex had one Great-Great Grandson Levi whom he never got a chance to meet. Alex also had many nephews and nieces that mourn his passing.
Alex was predeceased by his wife Ruth of 67 years. Dad was the last surviving member of his family. Predeceased by his parents Alec & Maria (Spchuik) Sawchuk, brother Mike/Phyllis, sister Olga/George Muntain, sister Stella/Vance Laintain, brother John/Verna and brother Bill. Dad was also predeceased by daughter Linda in Sept. 2022 and other family members.
There will be no service at the request of Alex. Hanson’s Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
