Gust, Brian

April 24, 1963 – July 15, 2021

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Brian Samuel Gust at 58 years.

He passed peacefully with his best friend Sharon Gust and daughter Lacey Allard (Gust) by his side.

Brian was predeceased by his father Robert Gust and sister Sandy Manz.

Brian is survived by his mother Nina Gust; his siblings Les Gust, Sharon Trimble, Gloria Gieselman, Carlton Gust, Brad Gust and Trevor Gust; his children Lacey (Lyle), Brock (Erica), Tiffany (Michael), Joshua, Jocelyn, Jamie and Jennifer; and his grandchildren
Lisette, Dante, Cierra, Kellan, Dezaray, Madison and Colby.

Brian was born in Davidson SK by his loving parents Robert and Nina Gust.

Brian was a jack of all trades, whether he was tinkering on a car or renovating a house.

For most of his life Brian drove truck, which took him to the Lloydminster area and Northern Alberta. Brian also worked Seismic.
Brian last worked maintenance at the Davidson Hospital. One thing about him was he had an amazing work ethic.

Brian was married back in 1984 to Sharon, they had three children together. Although it did not end well, through all their ups and downs they did end up getting to spend some time together in the end and they both got the peace they needed. She spent his last day with him.

Two of his daughters, Lacey and Tiffany, were thankful to spend his last days with him and he was very happy that he got to spend time with all his children over the last few months of his life.

Over the last four years Brian spent his time raising his four younger children by himself and with the help and support of his mom and his many friends he had made in Davidson.

Brian lived a full life, he met so many people and made so many friends along the way. Many of those close friends he considered family.

Brian fought a battle with cancer and had been sick for a while.

There will be no funeral as per his wishes. Some of the family would like to do a Celebration of Life at a later time.

The family asks that no flowers be sent.

If you wish to do anything, please donate to the Cancer Society.
