Mooney
Aaron Lynn Mooney, age 39, was born on October 12, 1974 in Saskatoon to Dave Mooney and Karen Moir. He was the oldest of three children and grew up on the family farm west of Imperial. He attended school in Imperial and worked on the farm from an early age. Aaron became a heavy-duty equipment operator, working all over Saskatchewan and Alberta, in the oil patch and as hired hand at harvest time for local area farmers. He enjoyed hunting, farming, quading, all things John Deere and driving the country roads, spending time with his boys Carter and Trevor. Aaron died unexpectedly, as a result of an accident, on Friday, July 11, 2014. He was predeceased by his brother Eric Mooney and uncle Larry Moir. Aaron is survived by Candace Gross and their two boys Carter and Trevor Mooney; his parents David Mooney and Karen Moir; sister Anita (Shane Smith); grandparents Norman and Cleone Mooney and Dale and Molly Moir; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and two nieces. Aaron’s ashes were spread on the farm July 21. His family thank you for attending and invite you for lunch and a cold one, and a time to share some stories and memories. A private family memorial service was held at the Imperial Community Centre,
Imperial, Sask. on Friday July 18 at 3 p.m.
Officiating was Grant Mooney. Honourary pallbearers were all his family and friends; urnbearers were Carter and Trevor Mooney; ushers were Ryan Kelly and Jason Federspiel; Tribute video by Janice McEachern.
A private family interment was held.
