On Friday, July 20 at about 7:30 p.m., Saskatoon RCMP received multiple calls about a dangerous erratic driver on Highway 11 near the Village of Bladworth. The vehicle was travelling north towards Saskatoon at speeds of 140 to 170 kilometres per hour. The vehicle was also passing on the right and entering the ditch.
Saskatoon RCMP along with Saskatoon Police Service and Corman Park Police Service observed the vehicle near Saskatoon and attempted to stop it.
A spike belt was used to disable the vehicle near Circle Drive and Highway 11.
A 24-year-old man was taken into custody and charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, impaired driving, refusal to provide a breath test, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer.
