1930 – 2019

On behalf of our family we are saddened to announce the passing of Glenn McVeigh on his family farm September 9, 2019.

Glenn was born in Kenaston October 2, 1930 to Ray and Katherine (Blackstock) McVeigh and is predeceased by his three sisters Doris Howells, Jean Holdner and Orva McVeigh.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Evelyn (Westman) McVeigh, Glennys McVeigh, Brent and Faye McVeigh, Jacqueline and Grant Jewell, Tracy and Duane Delainey along with 7 grandsons, 7 granddaughters and 7 great-grandchildren.

Among many things Glenn enjoyed traveling with his wife, family and friends, watching and coaching his children and grandchildren in sports, reading and napping after a hard days work and farming the land that surrounded his home.

Services for Glenn were held at Kenaston Place on Sunday, September 15th at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, to continue giving back to Glenn’s community, donations can be made to the Kenaston Evangelical Church, and/or Kenaston Skating Rink – care of Kenaston Rec. Board. Hanson’s Funeral Home of Davidson was in care of arrangements.
