Gladys was a life-long learner and teacher. She completed high school at Hanley and graduated in 1941 from Saskatoon Normal School. Gladys provided great leadership in community 4H, sports, cultural and history programs. Her first love was farming, a passion shared with her parents and husbands and their families. From 1983 through 1992, she welcomed the world, ten young farmers for eight-month immersions in Canada, sponsored by the International Agricultural Exchange Association. Since 2007 strokes and vascular dementia forced her to seek care, most recently as a resident of the Cypress Health Region’s Prairie Pioneers Lodge in Swift Current. Interment will take place in the family plot at Hanley Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in care of Hanson’s Funeral Home of Davidson. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Hanley Lutheran Church, or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
