1919 – 2020

Mary Reich passed away on Aug. 9, 2020, 3 days short of her 101st birthday.

She was born in Burough Green, Wrotham, England on Aug. 12, 1919 to Thomas and Isabella Crowhurst. When she was 6 years old the family came to Canada and settled in Grand Coulee.

After attending Normal School and teaching in country schools, she married Chris Reich in 1940 and they lived on a farm East of Craik.

Mary was predeceased by her parents, husband Chris, oldest son Don, brothers Tom (Olive), Roly (Lorna), Harold (Bea) and sister-in-law Lin (Currie) Seeley. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Ken, Lynn (Doug McIvor), Terry (Bev), Rick (Lorraine). Also, her 9 grandchildren: Steve (Denise) Reich, Cara (Joel) McKenzie, Dan (Marcia) McIvor, Russ (Marlo) McIvor, Phil (Emily) McIvor, Angela (Jason) Kemp, Jeremy (Marcie) Reich, Jonathan (Amanda) Reich, Cameron (Jessica) Reich, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great- grandchildren.

A private family memorial was held in Craik. Arrangements entrusted to Hanson’s Funeral Home.
