John “Jack” Douglas Haraldson, 93, of Hanley, SK died October 15, 2014 with his family at his side. He was the son of Osmund and Anna Haraldson, loving husband of Neeta (Trask). He is survived by his wife Neeta; his brother George Haraldson (Hanley); daughter Wendy (Ron) Obrigavitch (Prince Albert); son Ed (Patti) Haraldson (Outlook); daughter,Charlotte Carroll (Toronto); seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by one son Grant Haraldson and one daughter Lorna Reimer. Jack did his early schooling at Sunrise, Bohrson, and Hanley Schools and completed his BSA at the U of S (‘43) and then spent a year and a half in the RCAF before marrying Neeta in 1947 and then farmed southwest of Hanley. Jack loved his sports – ‘Ball’ when he was younger then golf, curling, hunting and fishing. Jack was a community man – Wheat Pool, Church, RM, Golf Club, Curling Club, 4-H, life member of Legion. If there was work that needed doing – he was doing. Jack, Dad, Grandpa, Big Papa will be loved and remembered. Memorial donations to Hanley United Church. The Memorial Service for Jack will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 22nd at the Hanley Centennial Community Centre in Hanley, SK.
