Alan Amundrud 1959 – 2022

It is with great sadness that the family of Alan Russell Amundrud announces his untimely death on Friday, April 29, 2022, at Regina General Hospital atthe age of 62. Alan was born on a snowy day at Craik hospital on September 26, 1959 to Cletus & Celestina (Sal) Amundrud. He attended school at Aylesbury and Craik. Alan always wanted to be a farmer and he farmed alongside his father from a very early age. Their farm was huge and he took on the extra challenge of custom combining in the United States for several years while his parents and younger brother managed the farm.  Alan had a love of animals and had lots of livestock over the years. He loved tinkering around in the shop on the family farm, socializing with anyone who popped in,  and dropping everything to help his neighbours (usually for little or no money) while leaving his own work for last. Alan was a hard worker and meticulous in everything he did. His wicked sense of humour made him popular with both young and old and he had a nickname for everyone. Alan was predeceased by his father, Cletus, his grandparents, Joseph & Ada Amundrud and Louis & Agatha Krassman, all uncles, several aunts and cousins. He is survived by his loving mother, Sal, children, Rylan Amundrud (Cedar Park, Texas), Brittany Amundrud (Wilmington, North Carolina), Joseph &  his wife, Hannah Amundrud (Wilmington, North Carolina), Kenneth Reid (Saskatoon), Kelly Reid (Saskatoon),grandchildren, Jove, Ellie, Owen, & Nolan, former wives, Shelly (Parker), Rhea (Elliott), & Cathy (Reid),brother and sister-in-law, Guy & Janice (Saskatoon) and brother, Brian (Saskatoon), nieces, aunts, cousins,and many devoted friends and neighbours.  Respecting Alan’s wishes, there will be a private family burial at Aylesbury Cemetery at a later date.In lieu of flowers, donations will be graciously accepted at Aylesbury Cemetery.  Arrangements are being provided by Hanson’s Funeral Services of Davidson.
