Neil C. Ouellette passed away suddenly January 10 at the Outlook Hospital at the age of 79. He grew up in Kenaston where he attended school then went to the University of Saskatchewan where he obtained his B. ED. He spent most of his working life in Alberta where he met his wife Islay. He moved back to Kenaston in 2005.
Neil was predeceased by his wife Islay (March 8, 2004); his parents Alphonse and Josie; brothers Edgar, Stan and infant brother Raymond; sisters Rita and Thelma; brothers-in-law Frank Siroski and Charles Mutas and sisters-in-law Hetty Ouellette and Mary Ouellette. He is survived by sisters Louise and husband Fern, Dee and husband Arlo, Elaine and husband James; brothers Omer and wife Helen, Gerry and wife Anne, Jim and wife Paulette; sister-in-law Mildred and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Andrew’s Church in Kenaston on Saturday, January 14 at 11:00 a.m. Hanson’s Funeral Home of Davidson was in care of arrangements.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our father, grandfather and great-grandfather on Dec. 21, 2011 at the Davidson Health Centre. Born Feb. 5, 1921, in Davidson, Sask., he grew up on the family farm, married Margridt Svenning in 1943, and started their farm and family west of Davidson. He is predeceased by his wife Margridt, brothers Ernie, Roy and Earl, sisters-in-law Helen, Leila, Olga and Hazel, and son-in-law David Anderson.
He is survived by his children, Frida (Ernie) Paetsch, Verna Anderson, Lyle (Jackie) Johnson, Gordon (Caroline) Johnson, Carl (Maxine) Johnson and Carol (Peter) Sarich, 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Ruth Foster, brother Ralph (Maureen) Johnson, and sisters-in-law Peggy Johnson and Ingrid Kaldor.
A funeral service was held Dec. 29, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Davidson, Sask., followed by lunch. The committal service was at Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, west of Davidson. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Darcy James Demeester of The Pas, Manitoba, age 46 years, passed away accidentally on November 28, 2010.
A celebration of Darcy’s life funeral service was held in The Pas on Saturday, December 4, 2010.
A service of committal will be held at the family plot, Davidson cemetery, Davidson, Sask. at a later date. The date and time will be announced when appropriate.

With great love and sadness, the family of Olive Dean announces her passing. Olive was born on Nov. 30, 1943 in Davidson, Sask. She passed away peacefully Dec. 23, 2011 in St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon, Sask. She was survived by her mother Ruth Chester and her loving husband of 34 years, Lorne Dean.
Together Lorne and Olive raised Julie-Ann Lechman (husband Garry, children Chad, Amanda, Colin, Kyle and Jordan), Laurie-Lyn Vandenaweele (husband Ken, children Charla and Cayla), Daryl Dean (wife Sandy, children Ashley and Hayley), Shari Lechman (fiance Rod Hendersen, children Britney and Logan), and Cory Dean (wife Dixie, children Bryce, Chase-Lyn and Quayden). Her brothers were Lloyd Chester, Larry (Susan) and Everett (Glenda); also sister-in-law Dorothy Penner (Corny) and brother-in-law Jack Dean (Marjorie), along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Delbert Chester, her mother-in-law Maggie Dean and father-in-law Jeff Dean.
For 29 years Olive and Lorne lived on the family farm halfway between Elbow and Davidson. In 2006 they retired to Davidson where they took up chasing the grandchildren around their house and cheering them on at their events. Family was the centre of Olive’s world.
The family of Olive would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Lang, the EMS team (Adrian, Jim and Kelly), lab technician (Dana) and nurses (Ruth and Gloria) of the Davidson Health Centre. Also, a huge thanks to the doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists of the Intensive Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit and Fifth Floor Medicine of St. Paul’s Hospital.
