Sandra was born on February 6, 1951 in Outlook Saskatchewan and passed away on November 25, 2018. Sandra is survived by her husband of 47 years, her two children Alison (Tom) Douglas and Clayton (Trish) Schilling and her six grandchildren Austin, Riley, Quinn, Lucas, Jacob and Ethan. Brothers Dennis (Pat) Lucki, Gerry (Rhonda) Lucki, Sisters Betty (Murray) Lloyd and Alice (Lynden) Zimmer. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Margaret and Clifford Lucki, sister Sheila and brother Donald, granddaughter Sidney Rae and parents in-law Jacob and Leah Schilling.
Sandra moved to Davidson in 1968. She met Milton Schilling and they married on October 8, 1971. Over the next 47 years they built a life together. She began her career life at the Davidson Hotel as a waitress. After an education upgrade she worked as a home care aide, later moving into the laundry position for the Davidson Hospital, Prairie View Lodge and the Davidson Health Centre. She was fortunate enough to take several years at home to be with her children, later returning back to work until she succumbed to health issues, leaving on disability. She battled COPD for 30 years. She beat lung cancer in 2011 and was diagnosed with congestive heart disease in 2017.
She passed away peacefully with family at the Davidson Hospital.
A Celebration of Sandra’s Life Funeral Service was held Thursday, Nov. 29 at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Davidson. Sandra was laid to rest in the family plot at Davidson Community Cemetery. For those so wishing, memorial donations in memory of Sandra may be directed to the Lung Association or a charity of choice.
