Royan, Jessie Steele

In loving memory of Jessie Steele Royan, aged 93 years
Jessie was born Oct. 27, 1917, in Imperial, Sask. She farmed most of her life and moved into Imperial in 1966. She spent many winters in Regina and moved to Regina in 1999, where she lived alone until January of 2011, when she had to be placed in a care home.
Jessie was predeceased by her husband John, brother George and his wife Mary, and mother and father Jessie and Robert Rae. She is survived by a cousin in Scotland, Don Sutherland; two nieces, Jean (Jim) Baird and family, Judy (Dave) Symington and family; and four nephews, Robert (Margaret) Rae and family, Jim (Diana) Rae and family, Glen (Lynn) Rae and family, Daryl (Debbie) Rae and family.
For the last two months Jessie has resided at Parkside Extendicare and the family would like to thank all the staff for the care that was given to her.
A memorial service was held at St. Andrew’s United Church in Imperial on Wednesday, April 27, at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Richard Meredith officiating. Kevin and Jason Rae served as ushers, while Kay Burgess and Doris Stephens were register attendants. The urnbearer was Robbie Rae, while Helen Abrey was the organist.
