Dorothy Jean Livingstone, loving wife to Peter Livingstone, passed away peacefully on July 14, 2022 at F.H. Wigmore Regional Hospital in Moose Jaw Sask. at the age of 79. She was born at home on the farm at Govan, Sask. and was the youngest of five children of Elmer and Ruby Law.
Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, brother George, sister Helen Schiek and brother-in- law Carl Schriek, also nieces and nephews Denise Fisher, Pat Fisher and Ivan Law, son-in-law Butch Huber, grandson Mitchel Topless and granddaughter Taneille Skinner. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband Peter, sister-in-law Joan Law of Foam Lake, sister Thelma Fisher of Sherwood AB, brother Jack (Marlene) of Melville, children Emma (John) Rae of Foam Lake, Inez Huber of Pilot Butte, Phil (Pam) Horvath of Southey, Wes (Stacey) Skinner of Craik, Judy Hagen of Moose Jaw, Kristen Beaton Dawe of Kanata Ontario and Ron Horvath of Edmonton AB, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and grand and great-grandchildren.
Dorothy lived in Craik for 50 years while working at the Craik & District Health Centre until she retired at the age of 60. Dorothy loved to sew, knit and coffee with the ladies at Ladies & Craft every Wednesday afternoon. She also enjoyed singing in the United Church Choir and playing cards with her friends. She loved to bake for her loved ones and tend to her flower beds and collect cookie jars. Dorothy moved to Moose Jaw in 2020, where she spent her last years with her love Peter Livingstone. She will be sadly missed and loved by all.
A Celebration of Dorothy’s Life Funeral Service will be held at the Craik Community Hall on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. with lunch and refreshments to follow.
