Elizabeth (Betty) Ziefflie

Elizabeth Ziefflie (Betty) was born June 11, 1926 in Edinburgh, Scotland. She passed away August 3, 2022 at the Davidson Health Centre. Betty is predeceased by: husband Emil; sons-inlaw DuWayne Hart, John Fink, Dennis Kuemper; daughter Linda Fink; grandson Bradley Kuemper; granddaughter Colette Potter; great grandson Clayton Dixon; granddaughter-in-law Joanne Dixon. Betty is survived by her daughters Betty-Ann Hart, Diane Kuemper, Pat (Wayne) Dixon, Gayle (Leo) Remillard; son Brian (Bev) Ziefflie; 18 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 3 greatgreat grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews in Canada and the United Kingdom.

Having married Emil in 1944, Betty came to Canada as a war bride in 1946. Betty and Emil settled in the Davidson area raising their family of six. Betty was a homemaker until her family was grown. She then went to work as a Care-Aide at the Prairie View Lodge now known as Davidson Health Centre. She changed to the Laundry Department until her retirement.

Betty was a great cook and an excellent baker. She also loved to sew, but her greatest passion was knitting. Every family member young and old wore many of her knitted creations.  

Family Graveside Service at Davidson Cemetery Friday, August 19, 2022 @ 2:00 p.m. Memoriams in Betty’s name may be made to the Davidson Health Trust Fund (cheques payable to the Town of Davidson) or a charity of your choice.
