Rose Marie Bruch of Davidson, Sask. passed away October 8, 2014 at the age of 80. She is survived by her sister Caroline Young-Grenier of St. Etienne, Quebec; and her children Cathy (Rex) Preston, Phil (Kirsten) Bruch, Doug (Danielle Nault) Bruch, Paul Bruch, Shirley (Peter) Voldeng, Tim Bruch and Trish (Clayton) Schilling; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Oct. 14 at 2 p.m. at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.

It is with profound sadness the family of Stu Heiser announces his peaceful passing Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Palliative Care Unit of the Grey Nuns Community Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Born October 13, 1950 in Mankota Saskatchewan, he attended Alloa school and later Mankota and Ponteix schools. From a very young age, Stu loved horses, hunting and spending time in the outdoors. Stu’s personality and genuine interest in people, along with an ability to connect with people, brought him many opportunities in life. He managed hotels, sold farm machinery and spent his later years as a radiation safety officer with IRISNDT in Edmonton, Alberta, a job that gave him much satisfaction and fulfillment.
Stu will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his loving family: daughter, Michelle (Curtis) Gursky and their son, Grayson; daughter, Marcia (Dan) McIvor and their children, Ava and Marek; son, Blaine (Kelly) Heiser and their children, Abby and Cole; sister, Brenda (Garry) Resvick as well as his nephews, Rod Deibert and Ryan (Nicole) Deibert and their son, Landon and many dear friends. He was predeceased by his parents, George (April 1996) and Bridie (July 1973) and one brother, George Alexander (April 1948).
A Prayer Service was held on Monday, October 20, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. and a Memorial Service on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Hainstock’s Funeral Home, in Edmonton AB.
Interment Service will take place on November 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in Mankota, SK at the Mankota cemetery. There will be a celebration of life held following the interment service at the Mankota hall.
Stu was blessed with outstanding care during his stay in the Palliative Care Unit at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital and the family wishes to extend a sincere thanks to the palliative care staff, and especially to Dr. Amigo, Dr. Fainsinger, Annie and Joanie, for the kindness, care and compassion they all showed during this difficult time. John “Jack” Douglas Haraldson, 93, of Hanley, SK died October 15, 2014 with his family at his side. He was the son of Osmund and Anna Haraldson, loving husband of Neeta (Trask). He is survived by his wife Neeta; his brother George Haraldson (Hanley); daughter Wendy (Ron) Obrigavitch (Prince Albert); son Ed (Patti) Haraldson (Outlook); daughter,Charlotte Carroll (Toronto); seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Jack was predeceased by one son Grant Haraldson and one daughter Lorna Reimer. Jack did his early schooling at Sunrise, Bohrson, and Hanley Schools and completed his BSA at the U of S (‘43) and then spent a year and a half in the RCAF before marrying Neeta in 1947 and then farmed southwest of Hanley. Jack loved his sports – ‘Ball’ when he was younger then golf, curling, hunting and fishing. Jack was a community man – Wheat Pool, Church, RM, Golf Club, Curling Club, 4-H, life member of Legion. If there was work that needed doing – he was doing. Jack, Dad, Grandpa, Big Papa will be loved and remembered. Memorial donations to Hanley United Church. August 14, 1989 – October 10, 2014
It is with heavy hearts the family of Danille Brooke Kerpan announces her passing on October 10, 2014 at the age of 25 years. In her time on earth Danille touched so many lives with her kindness, intelligence and internal beauty. Danille was wise beyond her years and was the first person many went to when they needed support or advice. Family and friends were Danille’s life and what she cared about the most. She was a gift that we were able to enjoy for a brief but wonderful time. Danille will forever be remembered and survived by her parents Allan and Melanie Kerpan; siblings Josh (Paula) and her ray of sunshine, cherished nephew Casey, Tyrel (Serene) and Stefanie Kerpan; loving partner Rylan Dezotell and his family Marvin, Marla and Raelene Dezotell; her Grandpa Paul Kerpan and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by grandparents Earl and Elaine Kieper, Helen Kerpan and Uncle Ernie Janzen. A celebration of Danille’s life was held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Kenaston Place, Kenaston SK. Gordon Henry Ruether
December 20, 1930 – August 26, 2014
Gordon Ruether, son of Margaret McIntosh and John Henry Ruether, passed away peacefully on Aug. 26 at the age of 83. Born in Penzance, SK, Gordon spent most of his life in Regina. He met the love of his life, Bev, in 1991 and from that day they were never apart. He worked for Sask Power for 35 years.
Gordon and Bev spent 12 years of his life going to Arizona and other places. He was an avid hunter, loved to fish and be outdoors.
Gordon will be truly missed by all who knew him. He was a kind, caring, and very loving person even through various health challenges.
He is predeceased by his brothers Harvey, Don and Harvey’s wife Vera. He is survived by his wife Bev, sister-in-law Eileen Ruether and family, many relatives and true friends.
A memorial service will be held at Delisle Community Chapel on October 18 at 12 p.m.

December 28, 1919 – August 26, 2014
It is with great sadness we say goodbye to our father, grandfather and great-grandfather Bill Dieno.
Bill passed away August 26, 2014 at the Davidson Health Centre surrounded by his family. He was born in Young, Saskatchewan on December 28, 1919 to Ottilia and Henry Dieno. He grew up in Young, Saskatchewan. He met his wife to be, Alvena Brown who taught at Manitou School east of Young and they were married in April 1944. Bill and Alvena moved to Davidson, Saskatchewan in 1953. Bill was very active with sports and played hockey with the Davidson Hockey Club. Bill and Alvena took up farming west of Davidson, where they raised their six children and he continued to farm into his 80’s. Bill was an active member in the Redeemer Lutheran Church. He also enjoyed the outdoors and hunting with his sons. Bill and Alvena never missed hockey and baseball games, or school concerts and music recitals for their grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mom and Dad were avid horse racing fans and made many trips to Marquis Downs in Saskatoon. Bill loved going to Senior’s, his daily visits to A & W and the shop.
Bill was predeceased by his wife Alvena, his daughter Val, grandson James Joshua Dieno, his parents Ottilia and Henry Dieno, his sisters Dean Emily and his brothers Art, Henry, Otto, Fred, Alfred as well numerous sisters- and brothers-in-law.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Terry (Carol) Dieno, Glen (Doris) Dieno, Garnet (Norma) Dieno, Trudy (Scott) McDonald and Lindsay (Karen) Dieno; grandchildren Trevor Dieno (Rachel), Tracy (Murray) Hodgins, Trent Dieno, Sean (Tanya) Dieno, Michelle (Derek) Roth, Cory (Brandi) Dieno, Erin (Keith) Lowson, Luke, Nigel, Alexa and Madison McDonald, Garret, Linden and Makenna Dieno and Kim Burns; great-grandchildren Rhyse Dieno, Nicollette (Erik) Johnson, Jordan and Paige Hodgins, Deklin Dieno, Aidan, Danica and Ava Roth and Julia and Dylan Dieno.
Bill also leaves to mourn his sisters Ella (Emil) Kaminski, Rita (Merv) Smith, Lorraine (Bob) Jensen, Rose (Jack) Shields, sister-in-law Bev Dieno and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
The Celebration of Bill’s Life was held on Saturday, September 13 at 2 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Davidson, Saskatchewan with Lutheran Pastors Sonje Finnestad and Ron Bestvater presiding. Interment immediately followed at the Davidson Cemetery and reception at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Hall.
