Neeta Haraldson
October 15, 1924 — November 25, 2016

Neeta, age 92, passed away at RUH after a severe stroke. Neeta was born Elta Neeta Trask, the youngest of seven children to Commodore and Elta (Neet) Trask in Harris, Sask., and raised in Hanley, Sask. After high school, she worked in the post office and Royal Bank before marrying Jack (John) Haraldson on March 16, 1947 and moving to his farm southwest of Hanley. She raised five children on the farm while growing a large garden and being very involved in the community, particularly the Hanley United Church (organ player, Sunday School teacher, CGIT leader, UCW “circle” member). Neeta was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed curling, golf and accompanying soloists and choirs. In 1985, Jack and Neeta moved from the farm to a house in town, and then she moved to Luther Tower (Saskatoon) in 2013 when Jack moved to Luther Care Home. Neeta is survived by three children, Wendy (Ron) Obrigavitch of PA, Ed (Patti) Haraldson of Outlook and Charlotte Carroll of Toronto; seven grandchildren, Greg (Tracee) Obrigavitch, Erin Reimer, Jeremy (Aimee) Reimer, Sean Haraldson, Troy (Ashley) Haraldson, John Carroll, Emily Carroll; and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Jack; six siblings; daughter Lorna Reimer; and son Grant Haraldson. Memorial donations may be made to Hanley United Church. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2016 at Hanley Centennial Hall in Hanley, Sask. Harold Doyle passed through the final stage of his life on November 7, 2016 at 85 years of age. He is survived by his spouse, Gail Sitwell. He is also survived by his seven children: Marilyn (Greg) Miscavish, Reenie (Terry) Scott, Christine Doyle, Wesley Doyle, Karen (Dennis) Anderson, Colleen Doyle and Sheila Doyle. He is lovingly remembered by his brother Lorne Doyle (Marianne) and his 15 grandchildren: Leah, Lori, Lindsay, Scott, Jolene, Ronda, Jeffrey, Joni, Krista, Torry, Daniel, Jesse, Alicia, PJ and Shannon. Harold has 22 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Marjorie and Lawrence Doyle; his sister Florence Lock and his young brother Leslie Doyle. Harold spent the majority of his life in Davidson, Sask. He was a proud farmer and loved his animals, crops and being outdoors. He had many interests over the years, including hunting, flying his airplane, painting, carving, playing the piano, golfing, skiing, horseshoes, and curling, to name a few. He will be remembered for his love of family, his appreciation for the wonders of nature, and for his adventurous and creative spirit. A memorial service took place at New Life Pentecostal Assembly on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. We thank Davidson Health Centre staff and Dr. Ola for Harold’s care during his final years.

Adele Ruth Boyce passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Health Centre in Craik, Sask.

Adele was born on September 1, 1927, at the family homestead. She was predeceased by her infant son, Ronald Barnett, her first husband Albert John (Barney) Barnett, her second husband Harold Boyce, and her loving friend Vern Wildfong; her parents Carl and Alta Alles; and her sister Bernice (Alles) Clifton.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her immediate family: Darlene (Clifton) MacDonald and her children Tannis MacDonald (Stephen Onda), Lauren MacDonald (Travis Haukaas) and Taylor MacDonald; great-nieces and nephew Olivia, Lydia and Declan; Rick and Lorraine Reich and their sons Jonathan and Cameron.

Also left to cherish her memory are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends whom she made throughout her incredible life.

The funeral service was held at Craik United Church on Friday, November 18 at 1:30 p.m. with a tea to follow at the Craik Community Hall.

We would like to thank all the staff at the Craik Health Centre for their loving care and support for her these last two years. Memorials in memory of Adele may be made to a local charity of choice.

It is official. The last surviving sibling, and baby of the family of Mike and Eva Pavelich, the “cowboy” from the hills left us at the age of 85 on Sunday, November 13, 2016. Predeceased by his wife Mildred Pavelich in 2007, he is survived by six kids, Clayton, Lammie, Cindy, Annette, Virginia, Michael and their families. As per his request, there will be no service.

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Harold Doyle, our father, grandfather, brother and uncle on Nov. 7. Harold was born March 3, 1931 and lived his life in Davidson where he proudly farmed for most of his life.

He will be missed by his seven children and their spouses, 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, his brother Lorne and Marianne, nephews and nieces and extended family.

In honour of our Dad, the family is planning a celebration of his life next summer with a gathering at the family farm. Date will be announced later.

Ken was born September 6, 1941 in Kenaston to proud parents John and Mary Krpan. He was raised on the family farm east of Bladworth along with his five sisters Helen, Ann, Kay, Cecele and Isabelle. He resided there until his passing.

He started farming with his dad at an early age. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He had a great love of horses raising them in his younger days.

In 1964 he married a local girl Valerie Bessey and they made their home on the farm where they raised their four children Brian, Marcia and twins Mark and Michael.

In 1966 he started driving the school bus and drove for 42 years. Like it was said, “You could set your watch by him.”

Over the years, he went on many hunting, fishing and skidooing excursions with family and friends and we enjoyed many family camping trips. We took trips to Nevada and Arizona and for the last eight years spent part of the winter in Osoyoos, B.C.

His children were the centre of his life and the farm was the gathering place for many family functions. His children and grandchildren will always have great memories of being at the farm. It was the place to be on weekends and visitors were always welcome.

He passed away at the Davidson Health Centre on September 25, 2016 surrounded by his loving family.

Ken is lovingly remembered by his wife Valerie; children: Brian (Karen) Krpan and their children Rachel (Jack and Makenna), Johnny (Bobbi), Luke (Victoria) and Jarred; Marcia (Jim) Kimmerly and their children Raylene and Ryan (Carlyne and Maverick); Mark (Charlene) Krpan and their children Tyson, Quinn and Kendall; Michael (Diana) Krpan and their daughter Sarah; sisters Ann Kowalski, Kay (Bill) Burgess and Cecele Cebuliak; brother-in-law Paul Kerpan and sisters-in-law Lorna (Orest) Marusiak and Darlene Bessey (Ken Pontikes); also numerous nieces and nephews and their families, aunts and cousins.

He was predeceased by his parents John and Mary Krpan; in-laws Fred and Amy Bessey; sisters Helen Kerpan and Isabelle Duda; brother Lewis and brothers-in-law Les Kowalski, Ivan Duda and George Cebuliak.

The Celebration of Life Funeral Service for Ken was on Friday, September 30 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Interment took place on October 1 in the family plot in Bladworth Cemetery.

Rest in peace Ken, we love you and miss you. “The world will never be the same.”
