Carrie, was born September 24, 1952 in Kelvington, SK to Roy and Florence Morgan. She started life in Nut Mountain and the family later moved to Davidson. Carrie also spent some time living with her sister Joan and family in Archerwill, where she attended high school.
Carrie worked alongside her mother for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool as a cook. She also cooked for a while at St. Paul’s Hospital in Saskatoon. She did a couple of stints in local restaurants as a cook before she began her job at the Co-op. Carrie started working for the Kenaston Co-op in 1984 and worked there until 2013.
Carrie met her life partner, Dave Oshachuk, when her older brother Wes brought him home with him one weekend. They were together for the next 50 years. During this time, they spent summers camping and visiting with family and friends. Their dog, Lisa, accompanied them on all these trips. She was a very important part of their family.
Carrie enjoyed a night out at Bingo and took the opportunity to play whenever she could. Carrie’s love of socializing included playing cards with the neighbours, relaxing around the fire pit and enjoying a beer or more. Kinsmen Telemiracle was an important event for Carrie. She would stock up on snacks and settle in for the full twenty hours.
Sadly, in February of 2013 Carrie suffered a stroke which forced her from her home. She spent some time in Outlook before a spot became available in Davidson. This move brought her closer to Dave and friends. Even though her ability to communicate was affected by the stroke, she still enjoyed visiting with family and friends and hearing about all their comings and goings.
In September of 2022 a 70th birthday party was held for Carrie at the home. She enjoyed seeing the family and friends who were there to celebrate with her, and the pumpkin pie birthday cake (with whipped cream of course).
Carrie was predeceased by her parents Roy and Florence Morgan; brother Wes; sisters Del Scheurman, Joan Hagenes and Lee Pallog; brothers-in-law Ron Hamilton, Lloyd Scheurman, Clarence Hagenes, and Bill Humilowich.
